It was just in early 2022 when Toyota Motor Philippines (TMP) brought the hybrid system to the PH-spec Camry. Now, the electrified powertrain is coming as standard, providing a combination of power and fuel efficiency on the go.

Exterior

Style-wise, the front fascia is reminiscent of the Toyota Prius, which won the 2023 Good Design Grand Award in Japan. It is designed by CALTY’s Newport Beach, California and Ann Arbor, Michigan studios. As standard, the vehicle is equipped with LED headlights, daytime running lights (DRLs), and taillights.

Sporty-oriented variants come with racing-inspired aero kits and exposed dual-tip exhaust, while the higher-end variant gets a unique color-matched grille and black trunk garnish. Depending on the variant, the midsize sedan is equipped with either 18-inch black alloys or 19-inch black and smoke gray alloy wheels.

In the US where the development and manufacturing are spearheaded, the 2025 Camry will be available in new Ocean Gem, new Heavy Metal, Ice Cap, Wind Chill Pearl, Celestial Silver Metallic, Underground, Midnight Black Metallic, Supersonic Red, and Reservoir Blue. The higher-end variant will be offered with a two-tone paint scheme.

Interior

Inside, the cabin is designed with an open-style cockpit, with the center console getting rid of the driver-centric appearance. Toyota will be offering various interior colors including black and Cockpit Red. It is also available with leather and Dinamica microfiber-trimmed seats – which is a first for the sedan.

According to the Japanese automaker, the shape and density of the seat cushions were changed to improve seat comfortability. Higher-end variants get even enhanced comfort with heated and ventilated seats, and front-side acoustic laminated glass that provides a quieter cabin.

Tech & Safety

The next-gen Toyota Camry is available with either an eight-inch touchscreen or a 12.3-inch screen – which runs with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. A seven-inch digital gauge cluster also comes standard, with a 12.3-inch fully digital gauge cluster fitted to higher-end variants. The latter could be paired with a 10-inch heads-up display.

The US-spec version will be offered with various subscription services including the Drive Connect, which allows drivers to activate voice command by saying, “Hey Toyota.” It will also come with music streaming subscriptions for Apple Music and Amazon Music.

In terms of safety, the sedan comes standard with the Toyota Safety Sense 3.0, providing advanced driver assistance system (ADAS) functions such as full-speed range dynamic radar cruise control and a pre-collision system with pedestrian detection.
