The Chery Tiggo 7 series and Tiggo 8 series have received the top ranking in the 2023 J.D. Power China Automotive Performance, Execution, and Layout (APEAL) category. The former is the first among medium-sized economical SUVs, while the latter is the first among midsized SUVs in China.

The APEAL measures owners’ emotional attachment to and level of excitement with their vehicles. This covers various aspects including performance, driving feel, getting in and out, infotainment, and fuel economy, among others.
Covering 230 models from 48 brands, the study is based on the evaluation of 35,155 traditional fuel vehicle owners who purchased new cars between June 2022 and March 2023. It was conducted in 81 major Chinese cities between December 2022 and May 2023.

Chery Tiggo 7 Pro
The Chery Tiggo 7 Pro appeals to the market with its amenities such as a 10.25-inch infotainment screen, a panoramic sunroof, wireless mobile charging, and an automatic tailgate.
Meanwhile, the Tiggo 8 Pro gets a larger 12.3-inch touchscreen paired with an eight-speaker system, a panoramic sunroof, and a key-sensing tailgate. The driving experience should also be bolstered with advanced driver assistance system (ADAS) functions such as adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assist, and rear cross-traffic alert, among others.
Both Tiggo crossovers are also made available with a hybrid setup, with the Tiggo 8 Pro boasting a plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) powertrain. The PHEV system gets to improve performance and fuel economy, which are two of many aspects for ranking high in the APEAL category.

The Cherry Tiggo 7 Pro is the Chinese marque's entry to the compact crossover segment in the country. Chery Tiggo 7 Pro Price in the Philippines starts at ₱1,250,000. There's also a two-tone trim which has a price tag of ₱1,280,000. Powering this vehicle is a 1.5-liter turbocharged gasoline engine capable of generating 145 horsepower and 210 Nm of torque. As standard, the engine is connected to a continuously variable transmission (CVT).
Dimensions-wise, the Tiggo 7 Pro spans 4,500 mm in length, 1,824 mm in width, and 1,746 mm in height. Moreover, it gets a wheelbase and ground clearance rated at 2,670 mm and 163 mm, respectively. In the local market, the Chinese compact crossover competes against the likes of the Ford Territory, Toyota Corolla Cross, and Geely Azkarra.
