Honda Cars PH raffling off five next-gen Civic Type R scale models

The waitlist for the next-generation Honda Civic Type R FL5 is very long, with the Japanese automaker’s first batch for the Philippine market already sold out. But there is another way you can get your hands on the hot hatch with Honda Cars Philippines, Inc.'s (HCPI) latest raffle. Well, at least on a scale model.

What we’re talking about is that HCPI is raffling off five next-gen Civic Type R Tomica 1:64 scale models, along with an exclusive Type R merch.

To get started, you have to comment “R” on HCPI’s official Facebook post regarding the raffle promo. The next step is to follow the company on five of its official social media pages on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, and TikTok.

In the production model of the PH-spec Honda Civic Type R, the hot hatch comes with LED exterior lighting from the front to the back, 19-inch matte black alloy wheels, and a red interior theme.

It is also equipped with Honda Sensing, providing advanced driver assistance system (ADAS) functions such as Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), Lane Keep Assist System (LKAS), and Forward Collision Warning (FCW), among others.

Under the hood is a 2.0-liter inline-4 VTEC turbocharged engine capable of delivering 316 horsepower and 420 Nm of torque. The power is sent to the front wheels via a 6-speed manual gearbox.

Back to the 1:64 scale model, the Civic Type R is finished in Championship White exterior color. HCPI is scheduled to draw the five lucky winners on March 31, 2023.

In related news, the second batch of the FL5 generation will reportedly arrive sometime this year. While 39 units were initially allotted for the PH market during the first batch, the upcoming batch could deliver almost twice the number at 80 units. Moreover, the second batch could lose the blind spot warning system feature due to a shortage of parts.
