The macho pickup truck is a popular choice among pickup truck buyers. Its 232mm ground clearance gives an authoritative drive feel while allowing the car to conquer waters 800mm deep.
The top-level trims come with HID headlamps along with LED daytime running lights. For the 2021 model year, the Ranger has a new grille and a range of black alloy rims.
Interior:
Among pickup trucks available in the Filipino market, the interior of the Ranger is the most premium-looking one. The cabin space is generous as it is one of the biggest for its class. In terms of ride comfort, it is also among the smoothest ones. The NVH insulation of the car has been improved greatly.
Safety:
The Ford Ranger comes with a wide range of safety features including the driver, front passenger, curtain, side airbags, hill start assist, an electronic stability program with traction control, seatbelt reminders for the driver and the front passenger, ABS with EBD, and ISOFIX child seat anchors. The Wildtrak 4x4 variant, the top of the line, also comes equipped with camera-based autonomous braking.
Technology Features:
The car is one of the most feature-rich pickup trucks in the Philippines. The Wildtrak variant is the country’s only pickup truck to have active park assist, lane-keeping aid, and adaptive cruise control.
Apart from those, other features include automatic headlamps, SYNC 3 infotainment with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, rain-sensing wipers, a reverse parking camera, front and rear parking sensor, speed-sensing door locks, and a power-adjustable driver seat. The 2020 model gets an 8-inch infotainment system.
All variants have a SYNC 3 infotainment system. The 2021 variant now comes with the first power-roll shutter in its segment that is only available on the Wildtrak.
