Foton Gratour 2024

The Foton Gratour 2023 is a series of configurations that includes Wingvan, F-Van, MPV, and Dropside. It is available in the Philippines in six variants and the Foton Gratour Philippines price starts from Php 520,000 and goes at Php 708,000. Powering the vehicle is a 1.5-liter DAM15DR gasoline engine that is paired to a 5-speed manual transmission only. Depending on the variant, the engine can produce either 110 horsepower and 142 Nm of torque, or 114 horsepower and 150 Nm of torque.

In terms of dimensions, the largest numbers are found on the MPV configuration which spans 4,525 mm long, 1,925 mm wide, and 2,145 mm high, with a wheelbase rated at 2,650 mm. Locally, the Gratour competes against the likes of the Suzuki APV, Kaicene Honor S, and BAIC M50S.

Foton Thunder 2024

Foton Thunder is the latest midsize pickup truck from the said brand. Locally, it has three available variants. There’s the Thunder 4x2 MT, the Thunder 4x4 MT, and the Thunder 4x2 AT. These come with a standard retail price of Php 1,180,000, Php 1,298,000, and Php 1,350,000 respectively.  

Size-wise, the all-new Thunder is 5,340mm long, 1,940mm wide, and 1,870mm in height. It also has a wheelbase length of 3,220mm for the 4x2 trims, and 3,110mm for the 4x4 trims. It then features a ground clearance of 220mm. 

Under the hood of the Foton Thunder is a 2.0-liter diesel AUCAN inline-4 engine. At the most, this engine can make up to 160 horsepower and 380 Nm of torque. Torque figures for the 4x4 are then rated at 390 Nm.  

Available gearbox options for the Thunder includes a six-speed manual gearbox for the 4x2 and 4x4 versions. Only the 4x2 version may come with an eight-speed automatic transmission.  

The local competitors of the 2023 Foton Thunder includes the Toyota HiluxMitsubishi Strada, Isuzu D-Max, Nissan Navara, Ford Ranger, Mazda BT-50, Maxus T-60, among others.

Foton Toano 2024

The Foton Toano strikes right in the middle of a passenger van and a commercial vehicle because of its cabin size, seating capacity, and affordable price point. It is the brand’s entry into the Euro-style van segment with its design coming from the same team that modeled the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter in Germany. Generally, the Toano was built to become the more powerful version of the View Traveler. On the outside, the van is boxy and massive although Foton incorporated some style elements such as the grille that is accentuated with chrome. The Toano can comfortably accommodate 11 or 15 individuals, depending on the variant. Currently offered in the Philippines are the Standard 15-seater Cummins engine and the Executive 2.8L. Both variants come in manual transmissions, diesel engines, and rear-wheel drives.

Foton Toplander 2024

The Foton Toplander 2023 is a midsize, rear-wheel-drive, body-on-frame SUV. In the Philippines, this seven-seater model has two variants; the Toplander EL 2.8 4x2 AT priced at Php 1,388,000, and the Toplander EX 2.8 4x2 AT price at Php 1,498,000. 

Under the hood of the Toplander is a 2.8-liter turbodiesel engine that can make up to 160 horsepower and 360Nm of torque. It is then paired with a six-speed automatic gearbox sending power to its rear wheels.  

Size-wise, the Foton Toplander is 4,830mm long, 1,910mm wide, and 1,870mm in height. It also has a wheelbase length of 2,790mm and a ground clearance of 220mm. 

Locally, the Toplander competes against Toyota Fortuner, Mitsubishi Montero Sport, Nissan Terra, Ford Everest, among others.

Foton Tornado 2024

The Foton Tornado Philippines 2023 is a series of light commercial vehicles that aims to assist Filipinos with their businesses. It is available in various body configurations including F-Van, Refrigerated Van, MPV, Dropside, Fuel Tanker, among others. As for pricing, the light commercial vehicle (LCV) is offered with a starting price of Php 755,000 for the 2E E3 Dropside and goes up to Php 1,690,000 for the 4.5C Telescopic Crane. Under the hood, two engine options are made available. One is the 2.8-liter Cummins ISF turbodiesel engine, while the other is a larger 3.8-liter Cummins ISF turbodiesel mill. Either a 5-speed manual or 6-speed manual transmission is connected to the engine.

In terms of dimensions, the Tornado has various body configurations. But the largest, which is the Tornado M5.2 F-Van, is 6,955 mm long, 2,270 mm wide, and 2,340 mm long, with a wheelbase and ground clearance rated at 3,800 mm and 234 mm, respectively. In the local market, this Chinese LCV goes up against the likes of the Isuzu N-Series and Hyundai HD36L,

Foton View Transvan 2024

The 2023 Foton View Transvan Philippines, as per its name, is a rear-wheel-drive van. It has three variants for the local market. There’s the View Transvan 13-seater, View Transvan 15-seater, and the View Transvan 16-seater. The first two are priced at Php 1,143,000, while the 16-seater model is priced at Php 1,233,000. 

Size-wise, the Foton View Transvan 13 and 15-seater is 4,850mm long, 1,695mm wide, and 1,980mm in height. The 16-seater model meanwhile is 5,335mm long, 1,695mm wide, and 2,240mm in height. The larger model also has a longer wheelbase at 3,050mm, compared to the smaller model’s 2,570mm. 

Under the hood of the Foton View Transvan is a 2.8-liter diesel engine that’s capable of making up to 95 horsepower and 225 Nm of torque. All trims then use a five-speed manual gearbox.

Foton View Traveller 2024

The View Traveller is the Foton Philippines’ largest van in its model lineup. It comes in two variants that can accommodate 16 and 19 individuals. Much like the Transvan, it is developed towards families traveling in large groups or for business-use as fleet service vehicles. However, it comes at much larger and wider dimensions compared to its sibling. The pricing maintains to be affordable for its specifications and capacity. The Foton View Traveller is offered in two variants which are the 16-seater and the 19-seater variant called the XL. Both models are powered by a 2.8-liter Cummins Engine which adds to the reliability of the vehicles. The diesel engine is mated to a 5-speed manual transmission.
