It also comes with 880 Nm of torque.

Hennessey Performance has tuned the 2024 Ford Mustang Dark Horse to produce a more potent power output rating compared to the said vehicle’s stock tuning. Aside from tweaking the Mustang Dark Horse’s power, Hennessey also gave the vehicle exclusive exterior kits.

To put things in perspective, the 2024 Ford Mustang Dark Horse is equipped with a 5.0-liter V8 engine that delivers 500 horsepower and 567 Nm of torque in stock or OEM tuning. The engine is connected to either a six-speed manual or a 10-speed automatic transmission.

Hennessey seems to be not satisfied with the Mustang Dark Horse’s already notable power output. As such, its technicians fitted the Mustang’s V8 engine with a high-performance supercharger and a high-flow air induction system. The tuning company also fit upgraded fuel injectors and installed a new fuel pump.

With the addition of the said components, Hennessey claims that its tuned Mustang Dark Horse can churn out 850 hp and 880 Nm of torque, which translates to a 70 percent increase in power output in comparison with the stock engine. Hennessey added that it calibrated the Dark Horse’s tuned engine with an HPE engine management software.

To complete the performance upgrade, the company included exterior body kits to make the Hennessey H850 Ford Mustang Dark Horse have its own distinctive appeal. It is fitted with a carbon-fiber front splitter, carbon-fiber side skirts, and a carbon-fiber rear spoiler. The H850 Ford Mustang Dark Horse also comes with forged aluminum alloy wheels as well as embroidered head restraints seen on the seats.

Hennessey has not revealed the H850 Ford Mustang Dark Horse’s pricing as of this writing. But it did mention that it will come with its comprehensive three-year limited warranty.

This is not the first time that Hennessey worked on a Ford vehicle. Last May 2023, it revealed the VelociRaptor 500, which features a tuned V6 engine of the next-generation Ranger Raptor. The said pickup truck’s enhanced 3.0-liter bi-turbo V6 gasoline produces 500 hp and 745 Nm, which is an additional 95 hp and 162 Nm compared to the stock US-spec Ranger Raptor.
