Honda Cars Philippines, Inc. (HCPI) announced that the BR-V had reached over 5,000 units sold to date, enough for the seven-seater MPV to become the company's best-selling model this year.

The sales performance is impressive for the MPV, considering only the City and Brio have been battling for the top spot for the longest time. HCPI mentioned a few reasons why the Honda BR-V has managed to appeal to many Filipino car buyers.
The first is the model's SUV-like design. Compared to the previous iteration which had a sporty crossover look, the latest BR-V comes with a stronger SUV appeal. For more enhanced styling, the company is offering the MPV with Honda Genuine Accessories for both the interior and exterior.
The automaker's entry into the seven-seater MPV market
Second on the list is its versatile interior. As standard, the BR-V is available with a seven-seater configuration. The cabin also features one-touch tumble second-row seats and a dive-down mechanism for the third row, allowing more cargo room whenever needed.
The third reason is the engine. Powering the BR-V is a 1.5-liter DOHC i-VTEC engine good for 119 horsepower and 145 Nm of torque, paired with either a six-speed manual or a continuously variable transmission (CVT). It is also said to be fuel-efficient, delivering a 24.7 km/l fuel efficiency rating based on the tests conducted by the Automobile Association of the Philippines (AAP).
Honda BR-V with the brand's Genuine Accessories
Last but certainly not least is the model's safety package. While an advanced driver assistance system (ADAS) is still unique in the local small MPV segment, the BR-V gets to feature the brand's Honda Sensing. It provides ADAS functions such as adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assist system, and collision mitigation braking system, among others.
You can add up to the Honda BR-V's impressive sales run with a starting price of Php 1,090,000 for the base 1.5 S MT variant. For the most complete BR-V with Honda Sensing, the top-spec model can be yours for Php 1,390,000.
