Isuzu Philippines Corporation (IPC) has officially launched the new 2024 D-Max Limited. This variant is a more rugged take on the pickup truck with changes mainly on the exterior.
Isuzu D-Max Limited
Based on the Isuzu D-Max 4x2 LS-A AT, the D-Max Limited slots in between the 4x4 LS-A MT and the 4x2 LS-A AT variants. IPC President Tetsuya Fujita believes the new variant is an ideal choice for buyers with a spirit of adventure, saying, “This vehicle is fit for those with a deeper passion in life, especially the adventurous type.”
Exterior
The adventure starts with the standard onyx black exterior paint contrasted with red accents. The fang-like grille is replaced with a blacked-out honeycomb design with the red Isuzu logo in the middle and halogens on the sides. Another distinctive bit is the gray streak body graphics with the red Limited logo on the side profile.
The new variant boasts more rugged aesthetics
The D-Max Limited runs on a set of 17-inch satin black alloy wheels in 265/70R17 all-terrain tires. This setup is coupled with a monotube nitrogen charged performance shock absorber with rigid rear shackles, increasing the ground clearance to 260 mm. Rounding up the exterior package is the newly designed non-slip sidestep board.
Interior
Isuzu has added D-Max Limited-exclusive carpets into the cabin, which provide a “premium look and protection.” The company assured that the exterior and interior accessories are quality and durable designed by Isuzu Accessories and Service Parts, Thailand (IAST).
It comes with Limited-exclusive accessories
As a variant based on the 4x2 LS-A AT, the interior comes with fabric seats, a urethane steering wheel, a 60:40 split-folding second-row seats with a center armrest, and an A/C system with a three-dial switch, a pollen filter, and rear ventilation.
Tech & Safety
The new Isuzu D-Max variant is equipped with a 10.1-inch infotainment touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. It is paired with a 4.2-inch multi-information instrument meter display and a clinometer perfect for those who want to take the truck for an adventure.
The truck is based on the 4x2 LS-A AT
In terms of safety, the D-Max Limited doesn’t get the advanced driver assistance system (ADAS) reserved for the top-spec LS-E 4x4 AT. Instead, the model is equipped with two airbags, an anti-lock brake system, electronic brakeforce distribution, electronic stability control, traction control system, hill start assist, and hill descent control.
Engine
Under the hood is a 3.0-liter 4JJ3-TCX inline-four turbodiesel with 187 horsepower and 450 Nm of torque. The new variant is available with a six-speed automatic transmission only, sending power exclusively to the rear wheels.
Looking ready to tackle rough terrain
Yes, IPC is not offering the model with a 4x4 drivetrain and six-speed manual gearbox options.
