The Mercedes-Benz CLS Class comes in the sophisticated stance the brand is known for. Its angles and signature sloping roofline create the perfect blend of a timeless yet active aesthetic. The lines on each side of the coupe are not just for styling but are functional as well for aerodynamics. Wheels come in the form of 18-inch alloys for the CLS 350 and 19-inch alloys for the CLS 63 AMG.
 
Meanwhile, the latest CLS variant is decked with similar styling elements with select exterior upgrades such as a more aggressive-looking diamond grille complemented by narrow Multibeam Intelligent Light System headlamps and an arching waistline. On the rear are bold LED tail lamps. The CLS 450 4MATIC rides on 20-inch alloys.

As expected from the German brand, the cabin is decked in high-quality materials and finishes that are soft to touch. All variants come with leather seats as standard with electronically adjustable driver’s seats. Its spacious cabin is further enhanced by ambient lighting that Mercedes-Benz is known for. The dashboard is clad with wooden trims which houses the turbine-like air-conditioning vents, an LCD entertainment system, and gauges with lights.

The CLS-clas Philippines is equipped with a 5.8-inch LCD entertainment system that is capable of connectivity to Bluetooth, AUX-In, and USB for the CLS 350 and 63 AMG variants. It kicks up a notch with a navigation-ready system for the latter variant. For the latest CLS coupe, however, it comes with a more extensive technology such as the Mercedes-Benz Intelligent Drive that helps with navigation and added road safety.
 
Standard safety features across all variants of the CLS include an anti-lock brake system with Acceleration Skid Control (ASR) and Brake Assist System (BAS), stability control, immobilizer, cruise control, front and rear parking sensors, hill-start assist, and tire pressure monitoring system, and a start-stop system.

The vehicle comes with independent upper and lower link front suspension complemented by an independent multi-link at the rear. Its stopping power comes from disc brakes in both the front and rear. The Mercedes-Benz CLS 350 and 63 AMG can sit up to four individuals, while the latest generation coupe model can accommodate up to five.

Under the hood of the CLS are varying engine types and sizes that differ among each variant in the lineup. The base CLS 350 variant runs with a 3.5L 6-cylinder gasoline engine attached to a 7G-TRONIC PLUS automatic transmission. It produces 302 hp and 370 Nm of torque. Meanwhile, the 63 AMG variant is powered by a much larger 5.5L 8-cylinder gasoline engine attached to an AMG SpeedShift MCT 7-speed sports transmission. Its engine can produce up to 518 hp and 700 Nm of torque. Both engines send power exclusively to the rear wheels.
 
Powering the latest CLS 450 4MATIC is a 3.0L in-line 6 turbocharged with EQ boost gasoline engine that sends power to all four wheels through a nine-speed automatic transmission. It can put out 362 hp and 500 Nm of torque.
