Of note, the Livina is a second-gen model and it shares a platform with the Mitsubishi Xpander. The first-gen Livina in turn, uses a different Nissan B Platform.

Nissan Livina Exterior

The exterior of the Nissan Livina is similar-looking to its Xpander brother. Its front fascia does carry its own style.

For equipment, it comes with a pair of halogen headlamps. It also has LED daytime running lamps, and LED combination rear headlamps. Higher-spec models also come standard with power-folding and power adjustable side mirrors.

Completing the look of the Livina is a 16-inch set of alloy wheels, or a 15-inch set of alloys or steelies depending on the trim.

Nissan Livina Interior

Just like the majority of MPV models in the Philippines, the 2023 Livina can seat a total of seven occupants. It also provides its driver with a push-to-start button, a six-way manual adjustable seat, a color LCD display gauge cluster, and a leather-wrapped tilt and telescopic adjustable steering wheel.

Everyone inside are then kept comfortable with a dial-type manual air-conditioning system. Its second row also come with a 60:40 split, fold, and tumbling seats. Its third-row in-turn comes with a 50:50 split-folding rear seat.

Depending on the trim, the Livina’s seats are then wrapped in leather, brow fabric, or beige fabric.

Tech and safety

Handling the entertainment needs of the Philippines Livina’s occupants is a seven-inch touchscreen. Connectivity options for this headunit include Phonelink/Bluetooth, USB, or auxiliary jack. One variant also gets a 2-DIN headunit which has the same connectivity options as the touchscreen except for the Phonelink function.

The higher-spec variants then come with a 6-piece speaker set. Other variants get a total of 4 speakers or 2 speakers.

For safety, the Livina’s higher-spec models has hill-start assist, anti-lock braking, vehicle dynamic control, and traction control. Also present for this model are parking sensors, ISOFIX child seat anchors, dual-front airbags, among others.

The 2023 Nissan Livina shares a platform with the Mitsubishi Xpander. Like the latter, it is also a compact, unibody MPV.

For suspensions, its front end uses a MacPherson strut while its rear is a torsion beam-type rear end. Braking is then handled by a front ventilated disc brake and a rear drum brake.

Under the hood of the all-new Nissan Livina Philippines is a 1.5-liter inline-4 gasoline engine capable of making up to 103 horsepower and 141 Nm of torque. Sending power to this MPV’s front wheels is a five-speed manual gearbox or a four-speed automatic gearbox.

The Nissan Livina is designed to be on-par with the popular 7-seater compact MPV models in the Philippine market. In this regard, it is comparable to its rivals in terms of engine power, and interior size. Its top-spec variant however, lacks Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. It also doesn’t have cruise control. Some other top-spec variants from other models have these features.
