Mitsubishi Motor Philippines released two new variants of the Montero Sport and the Strada at the 2022 Philippine International Motor Show (PIMS). These though, are extra special as these heralds the return of the Ralliart sub-brand to the local market.
The Mitsubishi Montero Sport Ralliart Edition
Specifically known as the Strada Ralliart Edition and the Montero Sport Ralliart Edition, both are equipped with exclusive styling components. All of these come with unique designs which are nods to the sub-brand's rally racing roots. Otherwise, both are mechanically identical to the standard Montero Sport and Strada.
Starting with the Strada Ralliart Edition, it is based on the GLS variant but enhanced with a Ralliart branded front and rear bumper garnish, Ralliart side decals, a bed liner, a set of Ralliart mudflaps, as well as Ralliart branded floor mats. The Strada Ralliart Edition is then priced at Php 1,429,000.

The Montero Sport Ralliart Edition in turn, also comes with its own set of Ralliart front and rear bumper garnishes. It also gets Ralliart branded mudflaps, side decals, fender arc moldings, and Ralliart floor mats. It then comes with a standard retail price of Php 2,122,000.
Each new Ralliart variant may then come in two different colors. There’s Jet Black Mica and White Diamond. For the latter, one has to fork out an additional Php 15,000 on top of their price tags.
Also making an appearance at the 2022 PIMS is the Strada Rally Car. This is the brand’s entry into the 27th Asia Cross Country Rally (AXCR) which will take place from November 21-26, 2022. The course for this grueling 2,000-kilometer rally race begins at Buriram, Thailand and ends at Siem Reap, Cambodia.

Mitsubishi Philippines’ current lineup of models is also appearing at the brand’s booth at the said event. These include the Mitsubishi Mirage G4, the refreshed Mitsubishi Xpander, the Mitsubishi L300, as well as the Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV.

The Mitsubishi Montero Sport, as a third-generation model, displays its benchmark for the brand's contemporary lineup, which is the 'Dynamic Shield' grille that shows a completely redesigned front. Similar to the model it replaced, the Mitsubishi Montero Sport is L200 or Strada pickup based. The chassis and half of its front body structure are the same as its pickup sibling. It still uses the three-link live axle coil spring for the rear suspension and the independent double-wishbone front suspension from the model it supersedes.
