This is according to Ford Philippines.

Ford Philippines shared five reasons why its 2.0-liter bi-turbo diesel engine is both powerful and efficient. The Blue Oval brand claims that the said diesel engine, which is found on the 4x4 trims of the next-gen Everest, Ranger Wildtrak, and Ranger Raptor, delivers that capability drivers need without sacrificing efficiency.

Efficient Capability

Ford’s bi-turbo diesel engine is said to deliver notable power without compromising fuel economy. The engine is connected to a 10-speed automatic transmission, which Ford PH said is designed to give the optimal gear that can help achieve good power delivery and fuel efficiency.

When we tested the next-gen Ford Everest Titanium 4x4, it returned a fuel economy of 8 km/l while being driven around the city at an average speed of 18 km/h. On the open highway, it registered 16 km/l while cruising at speeds of 80 km/h.

Uncompromising Power

The 2.0-liter bi-turbo diesel engine can put out 207 horsepower and 500 Nm of torque. It also comes with a towing capacity of 3.5 tons. The Ford 4x4 models in the Philippines come with selectable drive modes that allow the vehicle to adapt to various road conditions. The drive modes enable the Everest, Ranger Wildtrak, and Ranger Raptor to perform at their best.

Better Refinement

Ford PH said that its bi-turbo diesel engine performs quietly, offering less noise compared to its previous generation. This is made possible due to the engine’s structure, which was developed to limit the noise it radiates.

Tested Durability

Ford PH added that the bi-turbo diesel engine has gone through a total of 5.5 million kilometers of durability testing, including 400,000 kilometers at the hands of real customers. This allowed Ford engineers to have comprehensive data on how the engine performs. The Blue Oval brand has also subjected the next-gen Ranger to a grueling 10,000 kilometers of desert driving.

Next-Level Efficiency

Ford vehicles equipped with the bi-turbo diesel engine are said to offer “an exceptional advantage in terms of maintenance efficiency.” The car brand goes on by saying that the components of the oil system have been engineered to prolong the oil lifespan.

The next-gen Ranger and Everest come with Intelligent Oil Life Monitor (IOLM), which notify the owner when to have an oil change. The IOLM uses actual engine data, operating conditions, and the owner’s driving habits.

The next-gen Ford Everest, Ranger, and Range Raptor also come with a five-year warranty.
