At the upcoming 2024 Tokyo Auto Salon, two examples of the Suzuki Jimny will be rocking some retro-inspired body kits. These builds are common for the Jimny, but what makes these particularly special is that they are inspired by famous rally cars of yesteryears.
The rally car-inspired DAMD body kits for the Suzuki Jimny
Made by Japanese body-kit specialist DAMD, these borrow the looks of the Lancia Delta Integrale and the Renault Turbo 5 hatchbacks. These are both European cars that dominated their respective classes in the World Rally Championship in the 1980s.
One of these goes by the name of “Little Delta.” Just like the car that inspired it, the kit provides the Jimny with four circular headlamps, a Lancia Delta-style split grille, and a huge rear wing. It also gets a bright red color as a nod to the Delta HF Integrale Evoluzione.

The other Jimny body kit is made to resemble the Renault Turbo 5. Known as the “Little 5,” it features a front fascia that looks quite close to the original French-made hatchback. This is thanks to a pair of rectangular headlamps and a black-plastic front bumper. It even gets a tongue-in-cheek “non-turbo” decal on the side which is quite close to the iconic “turbo” decal on the Renault hatch.
As mentioned above, the Jimny is known for being provided with body kits to make it look like other vehicles. DAMD is known for this, as it also came out with the “Little D” body kit which makes the Jimny look like a miniaturized Land Rover Defender. The company also sells the “Little G,” which makes the tiny Suzuki SUV look like a smaller version of the Mercedes-Benz G-Class.

Unlike the Little D and Little G however, the Little Delta and the Little 5 are yet to be released commercially by DAMD. It won’t be a stretch to see these getting sold though, after their appearance in the upcoming 2024 Tokyo Auto Salon.
For those wanting to see these cute-looking rally car-inspired Jimnys, note that this year’s Tokyo Auto Salon is scheduled to commence from January 12 to January 14, 2024, at the Makuhari Messe in China, Japan.
