The latest generation Toyota Coaster is bigger than the minibus. By keeping its boxy shape with curvier edges, it is able to maximize the space making it larger than its previous generations. The ringed body frame unifies the roof, sides, and floor frame sections. In front are wider windshield openings for a panoramic view of the road and easier visibility. Right below it are large LED headlamps. On the sides are multi-angle mirrors for easier maneuverability. Doors are auto-folding with warning lights when closing and opening. The bus rides on 17.5-inch alloys as standard.

The Coaster’s new cabin design makes it more spacious and comfortable for passengers. Its latest modification makes it 60 mm higher. The shoulder-to-window space has also been increased with an additional 40 mm. Windows come covered with curtains and seats are wrapped in neutral colored fabric, following the minimalist tone of the entire interior. The rear seats also come with fluorescent room lamps for lighting on night trips.

In terms of entertainment, the Toyota Coaster comes with the basic AM/FM radio and CD player, with audio coming out of a 4-speaker sound system. It is also furnished with a standard microphone with amplifier.

Safety features come extensively for the minibus as it is the first in its segment to have a Vehicle Stability Control as standard. Other essentials included in its safety package are dual airbags, seatbelts on each seat, a hi-security key cylinder anti-theft system, and a fire extinguisher.

The 29-seater minibus runs on double-wishbone suspension in front coupled with leaf spring, rigid suspension at the rear. Stopping power comes from two leading drum, ventilated disc in front complemented by rear dual leading drum brakes.

Under the hood of the Toyota Coaster is a 4.0-liter 4 Cylinder In-line, 16-Valve OHV, Gear Drive, Diesel engine that produces 134 hp and 353 Nm of torque. Power is sent to the front wheels through a 5-speed Manual Transmission.
