The 2023 GR 86 comes standard with LED headlamps with auto-leveling function. It also gets daytime running lamps, power-folding side mirrors, and a set of 18 or 17-inch wheels depending on the trim.

Also present for this model is a duck-tail rear spoiler, LED tail lights, a rear-windshield wiper, and rear fog lamps.

Inside the GR 86 is a well-arranged interior that can seat up to four occupants. Available driver amenities include a digital gauge cluster, a push-to-start button, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, a tilt and telescopic column, and a six-way manually adjustable driver’s seat. 

The automatic version gets leather and suede seats, whereas the manual trim comes with fabric seats. It also has an ample amount of cupholders and bottle holders, as well as a number of interior lights. Keeping its occupants cool is a dual-zone automatic climate control system. 

Handling safety for the GR 86 are seven airbags, stability control, a blind-spot monitor with rear-cross traffic alert, a pre-collision system, automatic high beams, and lane departure alert.

The coupe also comes with adaptive cruise control, as well as a limited split differential. 

Entertainment for the GR 86’s occupants are then handled by an eight-inch touchscreen headunit with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. This headunit is then linked to a six-piece speaker.

The 2023 Toyota GR 86 shares a platform with the Subaru BRZ. It falls within the sports car category, and its body style is a 2-door fastback coupe. 

Braking for this model is handled by disc brakes for all four wheels. It also has a hand-operated parking brake. 

The GR 86 then uses a MacPherson strut front suspension, and a double wishbone rear suspension.

Under the hood of the 2023 Toyota GR 86 is the 2.4-liter FA24D. At the maximum, this boxer-four engine can produce up to 233 horsepower and 250 Nm of torque. It is either paired to a six-speed automatic gearbox, or a six-speed manual gearbox.
