Volkswagen Philippines: Price list & Hottest Promos in January 2024

The Lamando, made by the world's largest carmaker Volkswagen, is a midsize sedan that carries the brand’s premium and luxe aesthetic. It sports the typical VW design of clean lines and simple yet refined details. The interior is consistent with the exterior in terms of straightforwardness-- clean and sleek with premium accents. Expect that in true Volkswagen fashion, high-quality materials are used such as leather upholstery on its seats. The Lamando sedan is decked with a touchscreen infotainment system that is capable of Bluetooth and App Connect. Volkswagen also incorporated additional comfort features in this model such as cruise control and Keyless-Go. It has numerous safety features, more than that of the usual sedans in the market today. These, along with multiple other technology and safety features modernize the vehicle’s classic and timeless aesthetic.

The Volkswagen Lavida 2023 made headlines in China as the country’s second best-selling model before being launched to the Philippine automotive market. It is a compact sedan that looks similar to the Jetta with a fresher grille and bumper design. It measures 4,605mm long, 1,765mm wide, and 1,460mm high on a 2,610mm wheelbase. The compact sedan rides on a 1.4-liter TSI gasoline engine with BlueMotion Technology, similar to other compact sedans marketed by Volkswagen. It also carries the brand’s automatic start/stop engine technology that makes the Lavida more fuel-efficient.

The Volkswagen Lavida price in the Philippines amounts to Php 1,251,000 for the lone 1.4 230 TSI DSG variant, with the lowest monthly amortization at Php 14,114 for 60 months on a 50 percent downpayment. Among its rivals in the compact sedan segment are Toyota Corolla Altis, Honda Civic, MG 6, Kia Forte, and the Geely Emgrand.   

German auto giant Volkswagen Philippines has officially joined the van segment with the return of the 2023 Multivan Kombi. In the late 1950s, the Type 2 has started roaming around Philippine roads with its unmistakable design Now, it is available in the Philippines in one variant for Php 3,595,000, with a two-tone paint option for Php 3,640,000. Under the hood is a 2.0-liter turbodiesel engine good for 148 horsepower and 340 Nm of torque. A 7-speed direct shift gearbox (DSG) with Tiptronic function comes standard.

Dimensions-wise, the Multivan Kombi is 4,904 mm long, 1,904 mm wide, and 1,950 mm high, with a wheelbase rated at 3,000 mm, Locally, this German van takes aim to challenge the likes of the Toyota Alphard.

The Volkswagen Santana is a subcompact sedan that had a refresh last February 2021. It is available in two variants, with a price that ranges from Php 805,000 to Php 948,000. Powering the vehicle is a 1.5-liter MPI gasoline engine capable of generating 109 horsepower and 145 Nm of torque. As standard, the engine can only be connected to a 6-speed automatic transmission after Volkswagen Philippines dropped the manual transmission in 2021.

Dimensions-wise, the Santana spans 4,475 mm in length, 1,706 mm in width, and 1,469 mm in height, with a wheelbase rated at 2,603 mm. Locally, this German subcompact sedan is competing against the likes of the Toyota Vios, Mitsubishi Mirage G4, and Nissan Almera.

The 2023 Volkswagen Santana GTS is the brand's entry into the niche market of wagons. It is available in the Philippines in one variant which is priced at Php 1,029,000. Powering this vehicle is a 1.5-liter inline-4 gasoline engine capable of generating 108 horsepower and 150 Nm of torque. As standard, the engine is connected to a 6-speed automatic transmission.

In terms of dimensions, the Santana GTS spans 4,282 mm in length, 1,706 mm in width, and 1,489 mm in height, with a wheelbase rated at 2,603 mm. Locally, this German station wagon competes against the likes of the Subaru WRX Wagon and Mazda6 Sports Wagon.

The Volkswagen T-Cross is a, five-seater, subcompact crossover. Locally, it has two different variants. There’s the T-Cross S 180 MPI AT priced at Php 1,098,000, and the T-Cross SE 180 MPI AT, which can be had for Php 1,250,000. 

Size-wise, the T-Cross is 4,218mm long, 1,760mm wide, and 1,599mm in height. It also has a wheelbase length of 2,651mm, and a ground clearance of 185mm. 

Under the hood of the Volkswagen T-Cross is a 1.5-liter inline-4 gasoline engine that can make 111 horsepower and 145 Nm of torque. The said engine is then paired with a six-speed automatic gearbox, which sends power to its front wheels. 

Locally, the Volkswagen T-Cross competes against the likes of the Toyota Raize, Kia Seltos, MG ZS, Geely Coolray, Honda HR-V, among others. 

The 2024 Volkswagen Tharu is a five-seat compact crossover. For the Philippine market, this model has two variants - the SE and the SEL. These are priced at Php 1,808,000 and Php 1,945,000 respectively. 

Size-wise, the Tharu is 4,458mm long, 1,841mm wide, and 1,632mm in height. It also has a wheelbase length of 2,680mm. 

Propelling this crossover is a turbocharged 1.5-liter inline-4 gasoline engine that’s capable of making up to 158 horsepower and 250 Nm of torque. Power is sent to its front wheels via a seven-speed direct-shift transmission. 

Locally, the Tharu competes against the likes of the Toyota Corolla Cross, Chery Tiggo 7 Pro, MG HS, Changan CS55, etc.
